Students will be recognized by BEST at the Black History Month, Community Event at El Camino High School on Sunday, February 22, between 2:00pm - 7:00pm.
Everyone is welcome to come, especially if you nominated a student to be recognized. We anticipate 1,000+ attendees participating throughout the event. For each nomination submitted, the student will receive a personal invitation and a special “Golden Ticket” to attend and receive a Certificate of Recognition during the event. Students may be in any grade level, including higher education. Students do not need to attend an Oceanside Unified School District school to be nominated or recognized.
Join the Cultural Festivals Student Committee at El Camino High School and the Black Educators and Staff Team (BEST) of the Oceanside Unified School District as we celebrate and affirm the positive qualities we see in Black students throughout our community during Black History Month.
